Today, in its September Nintendo Direct presentation, Nintendo announced the much-anticipated release date for Super Mario RPG. This iconic Super NES game is set to make its grand return on November 17, boasting updated graphics and a host of new features to enthrall both old fans and new players.
In the revamped Super Mario RPG, players can expect a more challenging gaming experience as Mario and his teammates return tougher than ever. The storyline involves an unprecedented alliance between Mario and his nemesis, Bowser. They join forces to fight a fearsome enemy, the Smithy Gang. Princess Peach, along with original characters Mallow and Geno, will join this unlikely team, adding an exciting twist to the narrative.

When it comes to combat, timing is key. Players will be required to time their button presses with Action Commands to either increase the damage they deal or decrease the damage they receive. Perfectly timed attacks can result in damaging all enemies simultaneously. Successfully executing Action Commands also fills the Action Gauge. When this gauge is full, a devastating three-character Triple Move is unleashed. The nature of the Triple Move changes based on the current party, urging players to experiment with different combinations for maximum effect.
As with the original game, players will face off against bosses with diverse personalities. However, the new Super Mario RPG introduces an intriguing feature where players can challenge some of these bosses again after clearing the game. These re-encounters will not be easy, as the bosses will be powered up to present an even tougher challenge.
Pre-orders for Super Mario RPG are now available in the Nintendo eShop and at select retailers. This announcement has indeed stirred up the gaming community, and fans are eagerly awaiting the launch.
